Many people believe you always need to give demons something material in exchange for their help. That’s not true. This idea fits more with spirits or entities tied to the physical world, where food, drink, or objects are common offerings. Demons, however, exist on a higher level. They are not bound by material things, which means you don’t need to light a candle or make an offering every single time you call on them. Working with demons is about a deeper kind of spirituality.

Candles do play a role, but their power lies in channelling and amplifying energy. They are tools, not requirements. If you don’t have a candle at hand, it won’t stop you from reaching out to Satan, Lilith, or one of the princes. Still, if you enjoy ritual, candles can add strength and focus. When using them, always follow the correct order and symbolism: silver holders, each prince with their own candle, arranged by hierarchy. Use black or purple for Satan and the princes, and red for Lilith, placed in a separate corner. If you choose to light candles for all of them, hers should always remain apart. These details are explained more fully in our first eBook and in the PDF provided after the pact.

When you want to make a deeper approach to one prince directly using a candle, for example Samael, you don’t need to light candles for all the princes. Always begin by showing respect to Satan by lighting his candle, then proceed to Samael or whichever prince you seek. This honours the hierarchy and keeps your connection clear. Daily prayers are the only exception where you may reuse the same candle: light it, say your prayer, blow it out, and continue with it at each daily prayer until it burns completely. For all other deeper approaches or rituals involving candles, once a candle is lit, let it burn to the end.

Here’s the sequence if you’re approaching them using candles:

  • Begin with Satan, salute him, and light his candle.

  • Salute the princes and Lilith in their order.

  • Light your candle for the one you are addressing, then make your request, offering of thanks, prayer, ritual, etc.

This way, you remain aligned with the structure without needing to light a candle for everyone each time.

Now, about material offerings. There’s sometimes confusion, especially with fruits. Offering fruit is not part of Real Satanism. That comes from Afro-religions or older pagan practices, but it doesn’t apply here. If you truly wish to give something, choose a fine distilled drink, like a quality whiskey or cognac. It’s not required, but if you do it, choose something worthy. Never offer something cheap, it is better to offer nothing than to show disrespect.

Each demon should have their own glass, never one shared. Leave the drink for seven days. If it stays clean, dispose of it on the seventh day, wash the glass, and then use it normally. If it becomes dirty or an insect falls in, dispose of it immediately, regardless of the day. One strict rule: never offer wine. Wine is tied to Christian rituals, and offering it would be considered offensive.
